6. LEASING VS BUYING A CAR

LEASING
There are a number of leasing options available from a single race to the entire season. You can enter into an “Arrive & Drive” arrangement whereby a car will be provided ready to race at the track for the various rounds of the series.
This option may allow you to take advantage of a Works Team’s IP. This means you won’t have to learn about setting up the car and all the other variables that happen over a race weekend. Such technical IP only comes from years of experience at the track.
All lease drives make available advertising space on the car for your own sponsor signage to be displayed.
Other advantages include:
NO need for a transporter,
NO need for a workshop/garage to work on the car
NO need for expensive tools and equipment
NO need to find a reliable race crew for the race weekend
NO need for costly spare parts which you may not use

BUYING

Owning a racing car can have many benefits, from personal satisfaction to business exposure through shared social and corporate networks.
But you can go further and aim for a return on your investment by sub leasing your car to professional teams when you’re not using it.
Or you may start your own team to provide a comprehensive service, which can also create revenue. And ultimately, nothing beats the satisfaction of winning in a car you have prepared and maintained.
