About LeMans Sports Series Australia

About the Series

Le Mans Sports Series Australia is the country’s premier Prototype and Sports car series, which showcases the spectacular Le Mans inspired hi-tech race cars.

All cars entered in Le Mans Sports Series, are purpose built racing proto-types and Sports Cars, and cannot be legally driven on public roads.

The hi-tech engineering and design that has been invested into these purpose built race cars means minimum race weights of 375kgs have been achieved, with 0-100kph in 2.8 seconds.

With an overall view to remain affordable and competitive, LMSSA was established to bring the excitement of Le Mans inspired cars of the racing tracks of Australia.

Our goal is to maintain a series that is easy on budgets yet exciting for driver’s and fans alike. It’s our diversity that is the cornerstone to our appeal and we’ll endeavour to keep the series unique and interesting for all and particularly beneficial for our series partners.

The event
The LMSSA event provides for exciting racing as the different classes fight it out on the track. The mix of high powered – 2 Litre plus engine configuration with cars carrying more weight vs the super lightweight prototypes with 1 to 1.3 litre motor bike derived power plants creates an exciting spectacle for close racing.
